“I believe therapy should be a space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered to reconnect with yourself as you navigate life’s challenges and changes. I integrate cognitive and somatic approaches to help you feel more connected to yourself, your emotions, and your relationships.”

More About Victoria

Hi, I’m Victoria Liuzzi, a therapist based in New York City with a passion for helping adults reconnect with themselves through a compassionate, collaborative approach to therapy. I work with adults across different stages of life who are navigating anxiety, panic, mood changes, life transitions, trauma, chronic stress, and chronic illness. I believe that healing begins in a space where you feel seen, understood, and accepted. My goal is for you to leave each session feeling more empowered, grounded, and connected to your authentic self.

Specialties and Who I Work With:

I specialize in supporting individuals who are:

  • Living with anxiety, fear, or a persistent inner critic

  • Feeling disconnected from their sense of identity or purpose

  • Looking to deepen their relationship with themselves and others

  • Navigating life transitions, uncertainty, or major changes

  • Managing chronic stress or the emotional impact of chronic illness

Fear and Perfectionism

If your mind feels like it never slows down, you’re not alone. Together, we’ll develop practical tools to regulate your nervous system, better understand your thoughts and emotions, and respond to them with greater compassion rather than judgment.

Life Transitions and Identity

I’m especially passionate about supporting young adults and individuals navigating periods of transition. Whether you’re experiencing a quarter-life crisis, adjusting to a new chapter, or simply feeling uncertain about what’s next, therapy can become a steady place to explore who you are and who you’re becoming.

Chronic Stress and Illness

Living with chronic illness can impact every aspect of life. As someone with personal experience, I understand the emotional weight of navigating complex healthcare systems while trying to care for yourself. My hope is to provide a space where those experiences are met with empathy, validation, and practical support.

Therapy Approach

I believe therapy is most meaningful when it is rooted in authenticity and empathy. In a world that asks so much of us, I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without needing to have everything figured out.

How I show up in sessions is relational and built on the idea that genuine human connection is where healing and growth happens. I’m also not afraid to add some humor into sessions!

I provide a warm and collaborative space to reclaim your inner voice and tap into your resilience. At the heart of my practice is the belief that it is never too late to reconnect with yourself and create the meaningful life you want.

My Background

I earned my Master of Social Work from Stony Brook University. My training is eclectic, integrating somatic practices such as mindfulness and body-based interventions with cognitive approaches that explore thought patterns and core beliefs. I draw from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Somatic Therapy, Relational Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to tailor treatment to your unique needs.I’m passionate about blending somatic/body based work and mindfulness into my practice, which are topics of continuing education for me.

Before entering private practice, I worked in community-based organizations serving marginalized and diverse communities. These experiences continue to shape my work through a trauma-informed and culturally humble lens.

Location & Availability

I see clients in person at our Midtown Manhattan office near Grand Central, and virtually across New York State. I accept Aetna insurance, offer sliding scale options, and provide superbills for other plans. Sessions are available on weekdays and evenings.
