More About Sarah

Hi, I’m Sarah, a psychodynamic and relational therapist in New York City. I work with adults navigating anxiety, trauma, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Together, we’ll build a space that feels safe and attuned to your unique needs, so you can better understand yourself and move toward meaningful change.

Specialties & Who I Work With

I specialize in supporting people who are:

●      Navigating anxiety or depression that feels hard to explain or shake

●      Healing from childhood trauma, PTSD, or difficult family dynamics

●      Working through and understanding relationship patterns

●      Exploring their identity or self-esteem, especially during major life transitions

●      College students and young adults figuring out who they are and what’s next

Understanding the Roots of What You’re Feeling

Many of my clients come to therapy with a specific, present-day struggle, anxiety, depression, or a sense of feeling stuck, that on closer exploration often connects back to earlier experiences, family dynamics, or childhood trauma. I help clients gently make sense of those connections, at whatever pace feels right for them, so they can understand themselves more fully rather than just manage what’s on the surface.

Relationships and Family Dynamics

I work with clients on relationship patterns, helping them understand what they bring into their connections with others and how family dynamics from earlier in life continue to shape those patterns today. Together, we build healthier, more secure ways of relating.

Identity, Self-Esteem and Young Adulthood

I work with college students and young adults navigating identity exploration, self-esteem, and the uncertainty of figuring out who they are. This life stage often brings its own pressures, and I offer a steady, collaborative space to think through what’s next while building a more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Therapy Approach

My approach is psychodynamic and relational at its core. I believe healing happens through connection, and I stay attuned to how a client’s history and early relationships continue to shape what’s happening in the present.

Therapy with me is collaborative and paced to fit you, we’ll move as slowly or as directly as feels right. My goal is to uncover what’s shaping your experience and create a safe space for emotional exploration and healing.

Background & Training

I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from NYU Silver School of Social Work. My clinical training spans individual and group psychotherapy, as well as clinical interventions to treat substance use disorders. I am actively pursuing further training in psychoanalytic theory and practice.

Location & Availability

I see clients both in person at our Midtown office in Manhattan, and virtually across New York State, with availability on weekdays and evenings.
